Guest Review JAN 2025
Bloody excellent!

Like a diamond among the rust, I found Mingling Waters after rummaging through the caravan parks that no longer existed in Lakes Entrance. I booked a phone call with a friendly woman in the early evening, which is rare even at this time of year. The scene that greeted me as I arrived was like something out of the front page of the travel magazine Australian Traveller - a sunset glistened over the friendly hum of a little community as they listened lovingly to the young songstress Misty Harlowe as she wove a spell of sound around them with a hint of the Australian story, the tone of Nashville and her effortless, raw, humble talent. I haven't written a review in a decade, but being at Mingling Waters has changed evidently that!
At first, I wondered what the catch was in this idyllic retreat, which seamlessly blends natural beauty with modern comforts with their aptly named "glamping" site, offering a haven for a diverse array of travellers. After I booked another night, I'm still wondering as I write. Throughout the luxurious tents, caravans, and paragons of rustic charm - the homestead-styled cottages, there's a smattering of well-mannered people, friendly enough to have a chat and respectful enough to allow everyone else to enjoy their time in the way they wish. Actually, I'm just going to say it: there are no d***heads, and even the children seem polite!
As twilight descends again, Mingling Waters metamorphoses into a tranquil oasis. The gentle melodies of fish dancing on the river's surface compose a natural lullaby that gently guides you into a restful repose. Drifting off to the soothing serenade of the Snowy River is a rare delight, a gentle reminder of nature's ability to bestow simple pleasures and rejuvenate a soul sharpened by the city.
As someone who used to run several intensive camps to workshop casts of actors and musicians, I often found myself searching for a place with everything. If only I knew of Mingling Waters then.
Under fresh management, Mingling Waters radiates with a personal touch. The amiable and attentive staff epitomise the essence of country hospitality, ensuring that each guest is embraced with warmth and care. Their genuine attentiveness adds a layer of cosiness to your stay, making you feel genuinely valued. To top it off, I thought that accommodation with a double bed for below $100 was a thing of the past, but Minglissing Waters has corrected me.
In conclusion, Mingling Waters Caravan Park transcends mere lodging to become an immersive experience that elevates an ordinary holiday to extraordinary heights. Its riverside allure, welcoming ambience, authenticity, and top-notch facilities are the perfect backdrop for crafting enduring memories and rejuvenating your mental health. Whether you're a solo camper, a family searching for adventure, a large group, or simply seeking solace in a tranquil setting, Mingling Waters is certainly this happy camper's diamond in the rust, which I'm sure will be rediscovered again and again. Good luck, Ben! You're doing a great job.
